The misssion of the Kansas College of Chinese Medicine library is to support the goals of the College by identifying and providing information and library resources to its faculty, students, and administrators in their study, research, and professional development.
Objectives
. To develop and coordinate a collection that addresses the current needs and future projections
. To acquire, organize, catalog, and maintain the necessary information, both print and non-print, in those areas pertinent to the programs of the College
. To provide effective and timely access to information not available in the library through interlibrary loans
. To assist students and faculty in the retrieval of information
. To teach library competence in support of academic work and life long learning
. To promote constructive working relationships with other libraries
The College Collection contains: Books, journals, audiovisuals, CD-ROMs, in English and Chinese. Topics include Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Qi-gong, Massage, and many other specialized clinical and non-clinical subjects.
Services: The Library offers Reference, Interlibrary Loan, and Literature Searches.
Hours: Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm. Also by appointment while school is in session. The librarian is available for individual consultation by appointment.
