Cynthia Bertha, NCTMB, CPMT, is a graduate of the Kansas College of Chinese Medicine Oriental Bodywork Program and is Nationally Certified by the Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork with specialized certification in "Massage for the Childbearing Year".  Additionally, Cyndi has expanded education in Healing Touch, Melting Muscles and Myofascial Release. She is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and Healing Touch International (HTI) and has a private practice in Wichita, KS.

Linda Beyer, NCTMB, CPMT, CPTA, is a graduate of the Kansas College of Chinese Medicine Oriental Bodywork Program. Linda is a certified Physical Therapist Assistant and is Nationally Certified by the Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork specializing in Tuina-Anmo and Swedish Massage.

Mary Carr, B.S., Mary Carr, RD, LD, CDE, holds a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas. Mary is a registered, licensed dietitian and was registered as a certified diabetes educator in 1999. Mary is a member of the American Dietetics Association, the American Association of Diabetes Educators and conducts monthly group diabetes education classes.

Janet L. Gao, B.S., holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management and Organizational Management and Development from Friends University, Wichita, KS. She has thirty-one years progressive business management and business education experience. Janet serves as the Vice President Administration, is a member of the KCCM Faculty and is Secretary-Treasurer of the College Board of Directors and Advisory Boards.

Qizhi Gao, D.O.M., Dipl. OM,  President and Founder of the Kansas College of Chinese Medicine, has been practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine since 1980. Dr. Gao specializes in Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine and Qi Gong. He is a licensed Doctor of Oriental Medicine and holds a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Dr. Gao is the former President of the Acupuncture Association of Kansas, is a member of the KCCM Faculty, and is President of the College Board of Directors. Dr. Gao is on active medical staff at Select Specialty Hospital and is the former Director of Integrative Medicine, Wesley Rehabilitation Hospital, Wichita, KS where he was responsible for development and direction of the stroke rehabilitation research and treatment program.

Mei Gong, B.S. in Medicine, TCMD (China), C.M.D. and Dr. Ac. (Canada), Dipl. Ac, (NCCAOM),  is a graduate of the Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy, Beijing Union University and holds a Diplomate of Acupuncture certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Dr. Gong has been practicing and teaching TCM since 1991. Dr. Gong is an Instructor in both the Oriental Bodywork and Oriental Medicine Programs, and is the College Medical Director. Dr. Gong is Vice President of the Kansas Acupuncture Association and serves on the College Advisory Board.

Diana Guthrie, PhD, holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Social Change with concentration in Behavioral Sciences from Walden University, Minneapolis, MN. Additionally, Dr. Guthrie holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Masters of Science in Public Health from the University of Missouri, Columbia, Missouri. She received her Education Specialist in Counseling from Wichita State University, Wichita, KS and has a lengthy teaching career with her most recent assignment as Professor, Department of Pediatrics, at The University of Kansas School of Medicine, Wichita, KS. Dr. Guthrie serves as a member of the KCCM Faculty and is Chairperson of the College Advisory Board.

Ann Hunter, PhD, RDLD,  holds a Bachelor of Science in Foods and Nutrition and a Master of Science, in Institution Management from Iowa State University. Dr. Hunter received her Doctor of Philosophy in Education from Kansas State University and holds certification in weight Management from the American Dietetics Association. Dr. Hunter is assistant professor of nutrition sciences at Wichita State University in Wichita, KS and is a member of the American Dietetics Association and the Society for Nutrition Education.

Dr. Loretta Forlaw, DNSc. RN, is assistant professor, Wichita State University School of Nursing and Vice President of Health Speaks, Inc., Wichita, KS. Lori has spent her nursing career in both civilian and military healthcare environments. Her clinical focus is adult and child nutritional health. She is a founding member of the American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN) and was instrumental in developing the Certification & Examination Program.

Mark Perido, B.A., holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Boston University, Boston, MA and a Certificate in Surgical Technology from Seward County Community College, Liberal, KS. Prior to KCCM, Mark was a graduate assistant instructor at Wichita State University teaching Microbiology, Mammalian Physiology and Anatomy and Physiology laboratory courses. Mark is a member of Phi Kappa Phi at Wichita State University, where he pursued a Master of Science in Biological Sciences, is a student in the KCCM Master of Oriental Medicine Program and Master of Health Care Leadership at Friends University, Wichita, KS.

Alice Hsu Schad, B.A.,M.S.L.S., holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from San Diego State University, San Diego, CA and a Master of Science in Library Science from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA.  Alice is a member of the Wichita Area Library Association and the Wichita Area Biomedical Librarians Group.  Alice is a retired Medical Library Manager for the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical and Regional Office in Wichita, KS.

Mandana Shamsa,D.C.,  attended the University of Alabama where she majored in biology from the School of Social Sciences and Liberal Arts. Subsequently, Dr. Shamsa attended Logan College of Chiropractic where she received her Doctorate of Chiropractic. Dr. Shamsa also holds a Certificate from the International Institute of Oriental Medicine where she received 100 hours of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine training for Physicians. Dr. Shamsa has a private practice in Wichita, KS.

Danny R. Spoon ,B.S.,B.A.,Dipl.Ac.(NCCAOM), holds a Bachelor of Science in Community Services, a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration both from William Carey College in Gulfport, MS, a Diploma of Oriental Bodywork and Diploma of Acupuncture from the Kansas College of Chinese Medicine. Danny is an Instructor in both the Oriental Bodywork and Oriental Medicine Programs, is a Personal Fitness Trainer and holds a Diplomate of Acupuncture certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Danny is President of the Kansas Acupuncture Association and serves on the College Advisory Board.

Monja Wood-Barney, RM, MT, is a Reiki Master Teacher and a graduate of the Kansas College of Chinese Medicine Oriental Bodywork Program. Monja is certified in Reiki, Tuina-Anmo, Neuromuscular massage and is an instructor in the Oriental Bodywork Program.

Svetlana Yakubovich, Dipl. Ac (NCCAOM), came to the United States from Gorky, Russia where she was trained in massage therapy and as a physical education instructor. Sveta is a Kansas College of Chinese Medicine graduate with Diplomas in Oriental Bodywork and Acupuncture. Sveta holds a Diplomate of Acupuncture certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and has a private practice in Wichita.
