Ethics Workshop (7 Class Hour) >>  

This course is intended to identify and explore concepts of ethics in a professional therapeutic environment. Participants are asked to consider and fill out a series of questions relating to their practices and interactions with people in a professional setting. The questions will be discussed at the workshop. People are encouraged to actively participate in the workshop by describing, expressing opinions, and exploring their responses. .

Course Objectives:

* To help people consider and explore the nature of pain.

* To help people consider and explore the meaning of a therapeutic relationship.

* To help determine the nature of an equal relationship, as well as, an unbalanced professional relationship.

* To discuss methods of managing expectations of the recipient and of the practitioner in a professional environment.

* To explore different approaches to interacting with people in an equal therapeutic relationship.

* To develop an understanding of how to best serve people in an equal therapeutic relationship.
