Mary E. Baker, B.Ed., M.Ed., holds a Bachelor of Education in Advanced Education and a Master of Education in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Australia, Adelaide, South Australia. Mary is a member of the International Reading Association, Wichita Area Reading Association and the Kansas Branch of the National Education Association. She is a recipient of the Andover Teacher Golden Apple Award and the Kansas Master Teacher Award. Mary is a Reading Specialist working with at risk students in Andover, KS. Mary is also Vice Chairperson of the College Advisory Board.
Richard H. Egelhof, M.D., holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology, a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Wichita State University in Wichita, KS and received his Medical Doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Kansas City, KS. Dr. Egelhof has conducted extensive clinical research in a variety of areas and is a principal/sub-investi- gator at the Heartland Research Associates in Wichita, KS. Dr. Egelhof was the 1998 Kansas Family Physician of the Year and is a member of a number of State and National medical associations. Dr. Egelhof has a private medical practice in Wichita, KS.
Dr. Loretta Forlaw, DNSc. RN, is assistant professor, Wichita State University School of Nursing and Vice President of Health Speaks, Inc., Wichita, KS. Lori has spent her nursing career in both civilian and military healthcare environments. Her clinical focus is adult and child nutritional health. She is a founding member of the American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN) and was instrumental in developing the Certification & Examination Program
Janet L. Gao,B.S., holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management and Organizational Management and Development from Friends University, Wichita, KS. She has thirty-one years progressive business management and business education experience. Janet serves as the Vice President Administration, is a member of the KCCM Faculty and is Secretary-Treasurer of the College Board of Directors and Advisory Boards.
Mei Gong, B.S. in Medicine, TCMD (China), C.M.D. and Dr. Ac. (Canada), Dipl. Ac, (NCCAOM), is a graduate of the Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy, Beijing Union University and holds a Diplomate of Acupuncture certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Dr. Gong has been practicing and teaching TCM since 1991. Dr. Gong is an Instructor in both the Oriental Bodywork and Oriental Medicine Programs, and is the College Medical Director. Dr. Gong is Vice President of the Kansas Acupuncture Association and serves on the College Advisory Board.
Diana Guthrie,PhD,holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Social Change with concentration in Behavioral Sciences from Walden University, Minneapolis, MN. Additionally, Dr. Guthrie holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Masters of Science in Public Health from the University of Missouri, Columbia, MO. She received her Education Specialist in Counseling from Wichita State University, Wichita, KS and has a lengthy teaching career with her most recent assignment as Professor, Department of Pediatrics, at The University of Kansas School of Medicine, Wichita, KS. Dr. Guthrie serves as a member of the KCCM Faculty and is Chairperson of the College Advisory Board.Jeff D. Hennes,D.C.,graduated from Palmer Chiropractic University in 1991. Subsequently, Dr. Hennes continued his advanced studies at the Automotive Injury Research Institute and the Spine Research Institute of San Diego. Dr. Hennes holds professional memberships in the American, Kansas and Sedgwick County Chiropractic Associations, the North American Cervicogenic Headache Society, the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine and the Society of Automotive Engineers. Dr. Hennes has a private practice in Wichita, KS.
Chester R. Richards JR, B.A., holds a Bachelor of Arts from the former Municipal University of Wichita, KS and has over forty years of aircraft estimating, cost analysis, cost reduction and Government contracting experience. Ray is a certified Professional Manager, a certified Professional Estimator and is a member of both the Certified Management Society and the National Estimation Society. Ray retired from Cessna Aircraft Company as Director of Contracts, Estimating and Pricing in 1977 and resides in Wichita, KS.
Danny R. Spoon,B.S.,B.A.,Dipl.Ac.(NCCAOM), holds a Bachelor of Science in Community Services, a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration both from William Carey College in Gulfport, MS, a Diploma of Oriental Bodywork and Diploma of Acupuncture from the Kansas College of Chinese Medicine. Danny is an Instructor in both the Oriental Bodywork and Oriental Medicine Programs, is a Personal Fitness Trainer and holds a Diplomate of Acupuncture certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Danny is President of the Kansas Acupuncture Association and serves on the College Advisory Board.
Maurice Henry VanStrickland,MD, is board certified in Pediatrics, Adult & Pediatric Allergy and Immunology, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, The American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology & The American Association of Certified Allergists. He is former Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Dr. Strickland has an active clinical practice in Wichita, KS with interests in allergy, immunology, fitness, nutrition, and environmental health.
