| Overview >> |
TCM is based on centuries of tried and true methods that increase the body’s ability to prevent disease and restore health. It is an entire medical system that incorporates the five key methods for restoring and maintaining health and wellness: Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Qigong for Mind, Body & Spirit, Diet and Nutrition, Oriental Bodywork and Massage. In addition to these key elements, KCCM programs also include an extensive study in Western biomedical sciences, thus preparing our graduates to be productive and competent members of the ever-changing Integrative Medicine field.
KCCM student clinic requirements are performed in the Evergreen Wellness Center (EWC), a full service Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic, located on campus. The clinic contains individual treatment centers, a fully stocked and maintained herbal pharmacy and provides students with supervised observation and treatment practice in Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine and Oriental Bodywork. KCCM classes are small, providing individual and personalized attention, enabling our students to be competent, compassionate, ethical practitioners.
Our students are actively involved in community service, student governance and have achieved academic excellence in their fields of study. We encourage interested applicants to schedule a visit to the campus prior to making enrollment decisions and welcome questions or provide education counseling for individuals planning their education requirements for program acceptance.
