Transfer credits are accepted under the following conditions:
• Transfer credit for the Master of Oriental Medicine Program is given only from accredited colleges or from Oriental Medicine Colleges in candidacy status or accredited by ACAOM, for actual coursework or relevant experience that directly involved the student in the area of the required curriculum
• Transfer credit for the Oriental Bodywork Program is given only from State approved or accredited Massage Schools or from accredited colleges or from Oriental Medicine Colleges in candidacy status, or accredited by ACAOM, for actual course work or relevant experience that directly involved the student in the area of the required curriculum
• Applicant must submit transfer credit request on the appropriate Request for Transfer Credit Form at the time of application.
• Any coursework considered for transfer credit must be completed less than five years prior to the date of admission to KCCM. This limit does not apply to the 60 semester pre-requisite credits for College entrance
• Outcomes of prior education and experience must be equivalent to the same subject(s) at the Kansas College of Chinese Medicine and must meet the curriculum standard for College graduation requirements
• Official transcripts from the original institution must arrive at the time of application for admission unless other arrangements are specifically made with the Vice President of Administration
• Applicant must be in good academic standing at the previous institution
• At least one-third of the credits required for graduation must be completed at KCCM to be eligible for a KCCM diploma
• A challenge exam may be required to effectively demonstrate skills or knowledge of expected outcomes in any transferred course
